The Mill, the beloved chef-driven Rustic Americana restaurant located in the heart of Downtown St. Petersburg, is opening their second location in Brandon later this summer. And we couldn’t be more excited to see this local restaurant concept expand!

The Mill is recognized as one of the best restaurants in Florida, having won the Best Restaurant in Florida Award (Florida Trend Golden Spoon Award, 2015) and Creative Loafing’s Best of the Bay – Best Chef Award (2015). They are known for their high quality ingredients, unique seasonal menu, craft cocktails, brunch, signature dinners and made from scratch charcuterie plates.


Managing parters Chef Ted Dorsey and Jason Griffin believe Brandon’s demographics are the perfect fit for The Mill’s second location:

“When people talk about good restaurants in the Bay area, they mention South Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Seminole Heights. However, we think that Brandon and their rapidly expanding population deserve the very best and we plan on bringing our passion for food and craft cocktails there,” says Griffin. “We love what we built here in St. Petersburg and are excited to bring our unique dining experience to Brandon.”

“People instantly bond over food, and when they go out to a restaurant, they want all their senses to come alive. I love when I step out of the kitchen and see the smiles and good times from all our patrons in the dining room. It is the connection between people and food that keeps us motivated to do what we do every day,” says Chef Dorsey.

Griffin and Chef Dorsey plan to open the Brandon location at 109 W. Bloomingdale Avenue late this summer.
