Loews Don CeSar Hotel is inviting hotel guests and Tampa Bay locals to celebrate the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and cheer on Team USA by serving up a Caipirinha-inspired cocktail named “CeSar Caipirinha.” Mixologists at the Loews Don CeSar created the Brazilian-inspired cocktail by combining the fresh flavors of sugar, Brazilian cachaça and lime. The cocktails will be offered during the length of the games, August 5-21st.

“In the spirit of competition and with all eyes on Brazil, Loews Hotels is celebrating the Rio games with a twist on the host country’s Caipirinha that reflects the distinctiveness of our destinations,” says Mark Weiss, Senior Vice President of Food & Beverage at Loews Hotels. “We’re excited to offer guests a chance to toast their favorite teams and competitors.”

Caipirinhas will be available through August 21. In addition to the delicious cocktail, Loews Don CeSar Rowe Bar offers you an environment perfect for spectating complete with ample seating, plenty of televisions, a variety of food and brilliant sunset views. 1.5oz Leblon Cachaça
6-8 Cubes of Pineapple- cut pineapple into ¾ in cubes
.5oz Kiwi Simple Syrup*
Tablespoon of fresh lime juice – optional
Pineapple wedge


In a short glass combine the pineapple cubes with kiwi simple syrup and use a muddler to gently crush and squeeze out the pineapple juice.

Add the cachaca, ice and lime juice-shake well with cocktail shaker. Serve immediately garnished with a pineapple wedge. Add additional ice if needed.
