Picture-Perfect and Full of Flavor!
I had the pleasure of attending a reception at Locale’s FarmTable Kitchen to celebrate the Dali Museum’s upcoming exhibition—Horst: Photographs Fashion & Surrealism.
30 lucky guests, me included, had the pleasure of enjoying an exclusive first-taste of FarmTable Kitchen’s new Horst-inspired summer cocktails.
The impressive (limited-time-only) cocktail menu line-up includes:
Round the Clock:
carpano bianco, fresh lime, bittermens orchard street celery shrub
French Riviera:
dolin genepy des alpes liqueur, fresh lemon, house-made honey-lavender syrup
Marilyn Monroe:
lacuesta vermouth, cocchi rosa, house-made strawberry syrup, fresh lemon
Parisian Summer:
dubonnet rouge, fresh watermelon, lime, basil, hopped bitters
Marlene Dietrich:
zoco, cardamaro, peychaud’s bitters, angostura bitters, simple syrup
Bacchanale:
cardamaro, house-made peach syrup, fresh lemon, egg white, whiskey barrel bitters
Summer Fashions:
Cocchi Americano, falernum, house-made cantaloupe syrup, egg white, mint, Jamaican #2 bitters
Mainbocher Corset:
Dolin blanc vermouth, dolin genepy des alpes liqueur, fresh orange, egg white
Although the entire line-up was a thrill to the taste buds, my favorites were Round the Clock and Parisian Summer. Justin Yu, Locale’s general manager, explained that the Parisian Summer used fresh cubed watermelon that was simply shaken rather than juiced—giving the drink an amazingly refreshing flavor that truly tasted like summer.
The spectacular cocktail and canapés tasting was followed by a private exhibition preview and reception at the Dali.
